Homemade favors
Homemade favors make thoughtful mementos for bridal shower party guests.
So here’s an idea for a homemade party favor that’s really simple to make; its affordable too!
1. First buy some small jars with lids, or some other small lidded containers – these might be apothecary jars, candy jars, ball jars, or cotton ball holders – you can often find these at a low cost.
2. Choose a nice filler – here’s a few ideas:
* Mini soaps – you can buy these in lots of fun shapes, including seashell, flower and heart shapes.
* Bath salts, beads, or petals
* Cotton balls
* Mini cookies
* Candy – any kind of individually wrapped candy, mini marshmallows, conversation hearts, jellybeans, or Jordan almonds, would work well. You could even pick the color of your candy to match a bridal shower theme.
3. Next fill your jars or containers, and put their lids on.
4. Now simply tie a ribbon, or piece of raffia, around the neck of each jar/container. This too could be in a color that matches or coordinates with your party theme. Favor charms – maybe two little bells, wedding bands, two hearts or horseshoes, or perhaps a tiny bunch of faux flowers – would be a pretty addition too
5. Tie-on gift tags expressing your thanks – and that’s it you’re done.
